What does being healthy really mean?
Only 3% of Western Population is truly healthy. 10% are truly sick, meaning they need the medical model to help them live. The remaining 87% of us are suffering some dysfunction. Did you know there are 4 stages of dysfunction from a healthy state within the body. And what is dysfunction exactly? And what causes it? I can’t give you all the answers here, but we do cover this in the webinar.
When we talk about being Healthy, most people don’t really understand what that means. It isn’t just eating the right foods. It is much more than that. In order to truly be healthy in this day and age of lives packed full of events, stress, poor eating, questionable foods, and burning the candle at both ends, it requires an understanding of all of the factors that play into being healthy because it isn’t just diet. And what most of us consider a healthy diet, really is not. Many athletes that I have worked with seem to believe a theory that exercise can overcome poor eating habits or that lack of exercise is at the root of disease. This sadly is not the case for most.
To truly understand what being healthy means, you also have to understand what being unhealthy is. I am going to dive into both being healthy and being unhealthy. I will also talk about the stages of dysfunction in the body as we move into an unhealthy state. We will also cover the lifestyle factors that contribute to health.
