Did I just say my experience with Covid?
I sure did.
I think the reality is that sooner or later we are going to get it unless with are like The Boy in The Bubble.
And yes, I am dating myself. That was a not very good John Travolta movie from the ’70’s I think. And I am in no way recommending it.
Back to the topic of the blog.
Unless we live in a bubble, we will at some point be exposed and as a person with autoimmune, that can be a scary prospect.
I have a couple of comments about that.
First and foremost, if you are on your healing journey, you are actually looking after yourself better than 95% of the population.
And yes, we might have some weaknesses, but we are still better prepared than the majority of the population.
We also have access to things a lot of people don’t know about or won’t even consider to help your body fight the virus.
I will get to that in a minute or two.
I just wanted to give you a little bit of assurance that you are better prepared than most.
From my perspective, I try not to think or worry about things that I have no control over too much and at the same time, try to have a game plan in place prior to that moment happening.
I have recently learned that is more of a trauma response but it does serve me well in most cases.
And it served me pretty well in this case.
To tell you the truth, I was relieved when it entered my house.
I am tired of it looming over our heads like a bad cloud.
My headache was an early sign. And my ears were hurting.
At first I wasn’t thinking about it too much.
But then it wasn’t going away, and I don’t get headaches that often.
I started paying attention because it was starting to piss me off.
I am a terrible sick person. I will own this.
My son was also struggling with what we thought was a bit of a cold but then all of a sudden, he lost his sense of taste and smell.
Big sign that Covid has entered the premises.
Now, I’m not a fan of this testing.
The swab test is only 50% accurate and the results are used for political gain.
I was not interested in partaking but it was important to inform those I had been around.
My son tested positive.
I tested negative.
However, knowing the accuracy and some of the symptoms I have had, I don’t agree with the results.
I have had a couple of days where I can hardly stay awake and the headache comes and goes.
I’ve also noticed my blood sugar is a little wacky.
And my heart is palpitating a little more than it normally would and that just means my body is under stress.
And on occasion the pain in my body rises.
But all in all, we haven’t gotten worse.
It has been completely doable.
I haven’t pushed myself with exercise so I don’t stress my system further but we have gotten outside for some fresh air and it is helpful.
I have also sat in my hot tub daily just to offer myself some relaxation.
And I have eliminated all inflammatory foods.
No sugar at all.
No dairy, except for a little butter. It is Irish butter.
And of course no gluten or wheat.
No corn, no rice.
The reality is your immune system needs to be controlling the level of inflammation it needs to fight.
It doesn’t need your help with crappy foods.
Feed yourself with the best, nutrient dense foods and don’t skip your supplements if you do get sick.
Your body needs all the help you can give it.
And, now for those things we have access to.
If you are one of my clients, you are familiar with Microbiome Labs.
They have recently released some amazing products that help your body fight the virus. Well any virus really.
MegaViron™ is designed to be taken on an as-needed basis for maximum immune support whenever you need it most. This product was designed to support 3 key features of immunity: the surveillance system, clean-up crew, and de-escalation team. The herbal ingredients in MegaViron™ work synergistically to support the body’s detection and eradication processes within a healthy immune response.
And I have to say, this has worked very well for both my son and myself. You take it at the onset and continue for 2 weeks or until the product is gone.
MegaCidin™ is a robust, next-generation throat spray that contains a unique and potent combination of ingredients clinically proven to support overall immunity. MegaCidin™ harnesses the power of probiotic spores along with the highly effective botanical mixture, known as Biocidin®, to provide synergistic immune support for every climate and season.
This is the second product we have been using. It is tackling invaders in the mouth to stop them before they get further into your system. This could be used every day.
We have also been using a 3rd product which is referenced in the MegCidin description, Biocidin.
Microbiome Labs teamed with BioBotanical Research to create this product.
Biocidin® is a synergistic combination of botanical medicines, which targets the entire GI tract, and supports microbiome balance for healthy digestion and elimination.
The botanicals also have systemic applications in microbial challenges wherever they occur. Independent laboratory testing has concluded that Biocidin® has broad reaching effects, including
Pathogens like to live in biofilms, making it hard for anything that you are taking to be effective.
It is there way of protecting themselves. Biocidin helps to break that down and also works to eliminate things that shouldn’t be there.
I wanted to make sure we are getting the full dose of Biocidin beyond what is offered in the Megacidin.
There may be other good products out there but these are products from companies I trust and we have used them to limit the effects of Covid.
And my journey with Covid isn’t over.
But I feel it has been made much easier because of these products.
If you are currently using the Total Gut Health products from Microbiome Labs meaning Megaspore, Megamucosa and possibly Megapre, then you can pick these up from them directly without anything from me.
