Hi there peeps.

So far I have been blogging on the general idea of getting healthy.  What gets in your way.  What is needed.  But, today, I really want to dive into something that is very near and dear to my heart.

I have talked a little bit about the fact that I have Hashimotos.  Prior to my diagnosis, and I never ever believed that I would ever, ever, ever (that is a lot of evers just so you get the point) be diagnosed with something like autoimmune disease.  However, I have to tell you that when I was finally diagnosed, there was a small bit of relief because it had been years of not understanding what the hell was wrong with me.

There is a great quote from Deepak Chopra.  If you are into being healthy and don’t know about this man, I suggest you educate yourself about him just a little.  Anyway, the quote goes like this.  “If we are creating ourselves all the time, then it is never too late to begin creating the bodies we want instead of the ones we mistakenly assume we are stuck with.”  – Deepak Chopra.  What does this mean really?  And up until not that long ago, I assumed we were stuck.

Well, Autoimmune is a bugger because most people look relatively healthy but are completely falling apart on the inside.  The symptoms can be insurmountable and vary with everyone but mine were as follows:

  • Weight gain
  • Fatigue
  • Low energy
  • Heart palpitations
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Allergies/asthma
  • Dry mouth
  • Dry skin
  • Dry eyes
  • Joint pains
  • Digestive issues
  • Nutrient deficiencies
  • Hair loss
  • Acne
  • Heavy menstrual cycles
  • Mood swings

And, all of these could be happening concurrently.  And they were ongoing for several years.  I assumed that at 45 this was going to be my life.  Now, that was true for a little while.  Most of those that know me, also know that sooner or later, I was going to find a way.

So, back to Deepak Chopra’s quote.  And don’t you think it is a good one?  I do.  I digress a lot so bare with me.  I didn’t understand that you could actually support the body so it could heal itself.  I was under the impression that only our livers regenerate.  Well, let me let you in on a little secret. That isn’t true.  Our body will always try to heal itself.  On average, the body is recreating new cells on a 28 day cycle.  It does the best it can despite the damage we do.  Sometimes it needs a little help because we have done so much damage that it is unable to regenerate on its own.  But, if it can, it absolutely will.

I got tired of the degree of my issues and after my gallbladder attack I decided that was enough.  I was going to fix this come hell or high water.  And guess what.  I found my people. What do I mean by that?  I found a couple of wonderful women that put me on the right path.  Not understanding there were four factors to health, I focused on the food.  I made some very significant changes while I continued the education.  I then made some more changes.  And then I found my program.  What my program does is it allows people to take the shorter path to finding your health.  It is still a little bit of detective work but not like the trial and error path that I had just spent 3 years on.  It dives in deep to the hidden stressor within your body and coaches up the body while supporting it to help the body heal itself.  And along the way, you incorporate the four factors of health into your lifestyle.  Why, because if you want to be healthy, all 4 are required.  All of them.

And guess what, it is a commitment.  It is.  But you are worth it.  All of you.  And it doesn’t matter what your issues are, we can all benefit from this approach because at the end of it, you will know what your definition of health really is.  And get this, you will know how to maintain it.  And what to do when it starts to shift.

I realized I blathered a lot but I’m hoping somewhere, someone will see this and realize they don’t really have to suffer anymore.  That their life truly can be everything you imagine and you can feel like yourself again.  Don’t be afraid to reach out to me.  I don’t bite.  I would love to chat with you about your concerns and answer any questions you might have.
